Learning Management System Specialist

The Learning Management System (LMS) Specialist is responsible to the organization for the day-to-day technical and operational support of our Learning Management System, Saba Cloud. This person will be the point of contact for the LMS's functionality, capabilities, and maintenance. In addition, this role will upload new courses and content on the LMS, developing automated assignments and reports of training for Signature Flight Support's users. They will establish and monitor integrations with Saba Cloud, including data imports/exports to Oracle, LinkedIn Learning, and PowerBI. This position will also provide implementation support for training initiatives, create technical requirements and system documentation, and support system maintenance and upgrades.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary Saba Cloud LMS point-of-contact, creating/maintaining courses, content, certifications, curricula, audience types, prescriptive rules, categories, notifications, reports, and user permissions to meet business needs
• Troubleshoot and resolve Signature Flight Support's LMS user concerns utilizing Saba Cloud's knowledge base, QA environment, support team, and practical resources
• Collaborate with the Training, Procedures, and Leadership Development (TP&LD) team to align LMS with organizational goals, suggesting best practices and configuration opportunities, and providing technical support in implementation efforts
• Act as TP&LD liaison to internal teams (Legal, Safety, HR, IT, etc.), interpreting business initiatives and objectives and translating technical concepts to non-technical team members
• Deliver scheduled and impromptu virtual instructor-led training to various levels of Signature Flight Support's team on Saba Cloud functionality
• Evaluate and enforce content within the LMS, ensuring that Signature Flight Support's standards, policies, procedures, and external agency (FAA, OSHA, ISBAH) requirements are met/exceeded
• Conduct testing and configuring third-party vendor content, interpreting SCORM to debug files, and escalating malfunctions to the appropriate team
• Develop, generate, and schedule reports using Saba Cloud's internal capabilities and Microsoft Excel for Signature Flight Support's management teams and field locations
• Establish and maintain, in conjunction with IT, HRIS, and internal teams, integrations with Saba Cloud, including data imports/exports to LinkedIn Learning, Oracle, and PowerBI
• Analyze and deliver metrics on Signature Flight Support's LinkedIn Learning account, assigning and removing user licenses, and determining weekly/quarterly/annual usage

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in one of the following fields of study: Education, Instructional Design, Learning Technology, Information Technology, or other related fields of study
• 2-4 years of experience in Information Technology, Training, or similar field

Additional knowledge and skills:

• Experience with Learning Management Systems – Preferably Saba Cloud
• Understanding of eLearning standards, such as SCORM, AICC, and xAPI (Tin Can)
• Experience using an IT ticketing system – Preferably ServiceNow
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and video conferencing tools (Microsoft Teams and Zoom)
• Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTable, VLOOKUP) required
• Knowledge of Comma Separated Value (.csv) file type and usage for bulk import/export of data
• Familiarity with business intelligence reporting tools, such as PowerBI
• Ability to work well both as part of a team or as an individual
• Excellent verbal, written, proofreading, and editing skills
• Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and managing multiple-short term projects simultaneously
